Juicey Van...
Juicey Van...

I’ve had a pretty busy week! After i picked up my new van a few weeks ago I had a chat to Gump at Juice Vansports and decided to do the interior of the van properly. I really wanted to save money and do it all myself but after seeing the quality of his work I changed my mind!! So I booked the van in with him for insulating, carpet lining, lighting, doing the floors, cruise control fitting, window fitting and new proper seats. Thinking this would be a small job I volunteered to help as I thought it would be fun....
Before Gumpys magic....
So on thursday morning I went to Juice in huddersfield. When I arrived we got started straight away, stripping the van out completely.
Then it was time to cut new panels, insulate the van, and make the roof. Gump has all the templates ready made for transporters so this was pretty quick! Within an hour the roof was ready and the windows were done.
Pre windows! Not the nicest thing watching someone chop into your new van!!
Once the windows were done we did the insulation, put the panels up then it was time for the mega impressive bit... the lining. I went for the nice covering for the ceiling, the Al catara....(think thats what its called!) looks awesome!! Somehow Gump managed to do the ceiling in one piece then the carpets down each side as one piece. Looks incredible!!
The last thing to go in was the flooring. We used heavy duty lino which again looks awesome. Then the posh lights were wired in and the seating done....
2 Captain seats with swivel base....
The interior....
So all in all it took us 30 hours over 2 days. By the end of it i was shattered! Pretty sure Gumpy was too!
Im currently on the Channel Tunnel lying in the back of the van on my nice comfy bed on the way for some windsurfing in france!
Will put more details of the van conversion up soon. I’d like to thank Gump at Juice Vansports lots for all the time and work that he put into the van to get it ready in time. It really is top quality. If you are thinking of getting your van converted or lined, or racked out I’d give Juice a call!
Having just driven 5 hours in the van its definitely a lot quieter and the seats are soooooo much better than the normal ones. Loving it.
More info on the trip soon!!
