Trips

Getting There

Before going it helps to book your transfer before you arrive, otherwise you will be stung for double the usual price of 200LE, its also useful to have some small change in English money or Egyptian to give the baggage guys if you are taking kit.

Places to stay

BishiBishi - hostel, usual price is about 50LE with breakfast per night

Hotels - Usually charge 40 euros or more per night

Rented Apartments - If you are staying for a few months then this is the best option, usually costs about £200 per month between 4 or more people.

The Windsurfing

There are 4 main areas:

The Lagoon - choppy water, gusty wind, good for beginners to intermediates

Speedy - Flat water, windier than the lagoon, good for freeride blasting.

Baby Bay - Very flat water, less wind than speedy, perfect for freestyle.

Kamakazi - Rolling Swell and waves.

Kit Rental and Storage

If you want to rent or store kit then Club Dahab is the perfect place! Club Mistral and Planet Windsurf also have really good kit to rent.

Eating out

There are loads of restaurants, my favorites are:

Funny Mummy- on the waterfront near BishBishi.

Nessimas - Really good for steak

Sea Bride - In the centre of town, sells amazing fresh fish.

Ali Baba - If you get a taxi to ‘The Bridge’  in Masbat then walk to the seafront and turn left its about 30 seconds along the path.

Places to go out

There are plenty of places that sell alcohol in Dahab now despite Egypt being a Muslim country. There are bars all along the waterfront in Masbat. The most popular bars are Mojitos, Rush, Churchills, Yella bar and Blue Beach. If you fancy going out to a club then you can hit Tree Bar or Mojitos Club for an epic night. Unless its saturday then make your way down to the Club Dahab Party night!

If you want to buy the local rum then you can get it for 13LE from most of the alcohol shops in Masbat.
